More about Tora'dan
Tovas Porvas, born in Baku, Azerbaijan, discovered her musical passion at the tender age of 6. Her journey as a performer commenced in Baku, where she consistently ranked among the top three young talents in various festivals. Over the past decade, Tovas has not only honed her musical skills but also delves into poetry, creating a harmonious fusion of artistic expression.
Jan Porvas, born in in 1984 in Tabriz, Iran, embarked on his artistic journey at an early age. Jan's fascination with electronic sounds led him to take to the keyboard. In a climate of artistic constraints in Iran, his musical education unfolded through an intimate master-apprentice relationship at home.
After relocating to America in 2016, Tora’dan was formed. A poetic endeavor, Tora’dan means "whispers from the depths of the well." Jan and Tovas have graced stages at renowned festivals such as Treefort, California World Fest, and World Village Fest. The global impact of Tovas’ music resonates as one of her compositions found its way into the Ankara Turkey Symphonic Orchestra, performed alongside the esteemed Feryal Oney.
Show starts at 7:30 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm
