Part performance, part lecture, part conversation, Opera Chats is a unique, immersive, interactive exploration of the world of opera—its history, its sounds, its social and political relevance, its greatest creators and exponents, its infinite variety.
Led by conductor and pianist Nicholas Fox, Artistic Director of OPERA IN THE PARK Portland, engage in an intrepid journey into the heart of the question: why has opera, after five centuries, not lost a bit of its grip on audiences?
As a recipient of a City of Hillsboro Performance Series Grant, this performance directly supports OPERA IN THE PARK Portland, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The Immigrant Story.

$5 Arts for All tickets are available for individuals enrolled in the Oregon Trail Card or SNAP program. Individuals can purchase a maximum of 2 tickets per show. Tickets are limited per show. College Students
