LP & the Vinyl take the Walters stage for a night of soul, rhythm, and classic favorites reimagined. Led by powerhouse vocalist Leonard Patton, this dynamic band delivers a high-energy blend of R&B, blues, jazz, funk, and classic rock.
With rich vocals, tight grooves, and exceptional musicianship, LP & The Vinyl takes audiences on a musical journey that spans decades and genres. Expect everything from inventive interpretations of classics by artists such as The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, and David Bowie alongside unexpected gems, swinging jazz standards and captivating original compositions, all performed with passion, authenticity, and infectious energy.
Known for their spontaneous approach and exceptional chemistry, LP & the Vinyl brings audiences into every performance through Patton’s charismatic vocals and the interplay of pianist Danny Green, bassist Justin Grinnell, and drummer Julien Cantelm. No two performances are exactly alike, with each concert balancing artistry, energy, and genuine connection.

After years of intensive recording projects and concerts for jazz aficionados throughout the U.S., four San Diego-based musicians came together with a purpose: explore the art of song in their own unique way. Renowned blues, jazz and gospel singer Leonard Patton teamed up with the critically acclaimed Danny Green Trio to form LP & the Vinyl. The band’s wide array of influences includes everything from R&B, rock, and jazz to 80s and 90s hits, Brazilian music, and classical music. Blending these sounds together, LP & the Vinyl has created a highly unique and personal approach to music-making that leaves its audiences energized and craving more.

This performance is the Arts for All program offering $5 tickets to individuals with a valid Oregon Trail Cards/Basic Food Cards/SNAP documentation, assisted living documentation, or college student IDs.
