Liz Vice
October 25 | 7:30 pm | $25 advance / $28 day of show
Soul and Gospel singer-songwriter Liz Vice has always had a love for storytelling. A Portland native currently residing in Brooklyn, NY, she’s drawn comparisons to Mavis Staples, Aretha Franklin, and some of the greatest gospel/soul singers of all time. Deep-rooted in spirituality, her songs have a timeless feel created by soaring vocals and soulful lyrics woven with the joy, hope, and heartache of human experience.
“Portland-born singer Liz Vice did not choose to pursue music. Rather, music chose her. Combining American gospel and '60s soul, Vice's music is simply magnetic.” – OPB
Her passion and talent have led to two of her albums, There's A Light (2015) and Save Me (2018), debuting on Billboard’s Gospel chart and to a nomadic life touring across the country. She's even shared the stage with the likes of The Temptations, Joss Stone, Lake Street Dive, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and Blind Boys of Alabama, amongst others.
More about Liz Vice
With many health obstacles and limited resources in her youth, Vice never envisioned herself singing on stage for hundreds, let alone thousands of people. She found herself gravitating towards performance as she sought refuge in her basement, lip syncing to songs of the 90s and belting tracks from Disney soundtracks. Starting her career behind the scenes in the world of film and video, she accidentally found herself behind the mic.
Today, she’s received millions of streams on Spotify, with notable features across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. She has also been featured in Glide Magazine, OPB, NPR, Bluegrass Situation, Opera News, American Songwriter, Relix Magazine, and more. She’s also supported and toured with Hiss Golden Messenger, Shawn Mullins, The War and Treaty, The Wood Brothers, Mt. Joy, among others.
Show starts at 7:30 pm. Doors Open at 6:30 pm
