Latin Dance Night with Pa'lante

August 8 | 7 – 10 pm | $14 advance / $16 day of show

Feel the rhythm and energy at Latin Dance Night! Kick off the evening with instructors from Lines Dance Academy and an hour-long dance lesson in Cumbia footwork and moves. All experience levels welcome!

Starting at 8 pm, Pa’lante will have you on your feet moving to a blend of salsa, cumbia, merengue, timba, and Afro-Caribbean beats. 

Bring yourself, your date, or your friends! No partner required. Enjoy refreshments available for purchase from Danu Wines including wine and gourmet treats. ¡Vamos a bailar!

Doors open at 6:45 pm. Dance lesson starts at 7 pm and live music starts at 8 pm.

Pa’lante has been captivating audiences since 1985, founded by the talented percussionist Nick Gefroh. One of Portland's favorite Latin bands, their music ranges from cookin’ Latin jazz to spicy hot salsa, cumbia, merengue, bolero, and cha cha cha, guaranteeing an unforgettable night of rhythm and dance.

Lines Dance Academy is the only school in Hillsboro dedicated exclusively to Latin dance, proudly serving the community for over 18 years. Lines specializes in Salsa, Bachata, and Cumbia for youth and adults. They also offer youth classes in Latin Fusion and Folkloric Dance.

This performance is included in the Regional Arts & Culture Council’s “Arts for All” program offering $5 tickets to individuals with a valid Oregon Trail Cards/Basic Food Cards/SNAP documentation, assisted living documentation, or college student IDs. Arts For All tickets are limited and must be purchased by contacting the Walters Box Office at 503-615-3485 or [email protected]. Individuals can purchase a maximum of 2 tickets for this show. Please present your Oregon Trail Card or other documentation when picking up your tickets at the Box Office.
